Shield is a full-service engineering and environmental consulting firm serving
municipal, commercial and industrial clients in the United States and abroad.

Shield was formed by Cleveland Capital Holdings (CCH) a firm which dates to
the early 1920s. CCH is involved with petroleum distribution, retail marketing,
transportation and engineering and environmental services.

Shield has provided environmental and engineering services since 1984. Shield
formerly operated as Hatcher-Sayre (1984), Petroleum Testing Services, Inc.
(1988) and since 1992, Shield Environmental Associates, Inc.

Shield maintains offices in Lexington, Kentucky and Louisville, Kentucky.
We offer a wide range of professional services including air, soil and water site
characterizations; remedial investigations/feasibility studies (RI/FS);
RCRA/CERCLA investigations and corrective actions.

Shield is a firm of Professional Engineers, Geologists and earth scientists
trained and experienced in the civil, mechanical, geotechnical, sanitary and
environmental fields.
